Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions

The following points govern the contractual relationship between you as the customer and the hiking guide Franziska Geiger. By booking a tour, you as the customer accept these terms and conditions.

1. Booking

A tour booking becomes effective when an order is placed via the online booking system on the website, by email, post, or phone, and the contents of the contract are confirmed by both parties either in writing or verbally.

2. Payment

Payment is made based on an invoice followed by a bank transfer. Alternatively, payment in cash at the start of the hike on site is also possible. The customer will receive a receipt. Participation in hikes and tour programs is only permitted if payment is made before the start.

3. Cancellation

The customer may withdraw from the contract at any time before the service begins. If the cancellation is made less than 7 days before the start of the tour, a cancellation fee of 50% of the agreed price will be charged. From the 3rd day before the tour starts, as well as in case of a no-show at the agreed time, a cancellation fee of 100% of the agreed price applies. The hiking guide agrees to wait for 15 minutes.

Instead of withdrawing, a third party may take over the participant’s rights and obligations under the contract, provided the participant informs the hiking guide before the tour begins. The participant and the third party are jointly liable to the hiking guide. If the participant does not make use of individual services under the contract, this does not release them from the payment obligation.

4. Termination of the Contract Due to Exceptional Circumstances

If the provision of services is significantly hindered, endangered, or impaired due to unforeseeable force majeure at the time the contract was concluded, both the hiking guide and the customer may terminate the contract. Force majeure does not include poor weather conditions under which tours and hikes can be carried out with suitable clothing and equipment. If the tour is canceled due to force majeure before it begins, any payment already made will be refunded. If force majeure occurs after the start of the tour or hike, a partial refund will be issued.

5. Liability

The hiking guide provides the contractual services with due care and is liable only for intent and gross negligence. It is noted that there is an increased risk of accidents and injuries in public spaces, especially in nature reserves. Participation is at the participant’s own risk.
No liability is accepted for third-party services.
